Check out Mark Perry's final match as a Hawkeye. Everyone remembers what happened at the NCAAs with Perry last year in his final bout with Eric Tannenbaum. He screamed in pain after being in a position that joltled his already injured knee, and ended up winning the match, 5-2.

Now, Perry is seeing Iowa from a different side. The former 165-pound two time NCAA champion is now an assistant coach for Penn State - Iowa's next Big Ten match up, which is held tomorrow.

  1. Perry's final match as a Hawkeye was really memorable and his ability to overcome his knee injury was remarkable. I was fortunate to see his junior NCAA final in person and that was also pretty amazing. He had no qualms about saying the night before the match that he was going to beat the great Johny Hendricks and he did it. The fact that he is at Penn State shows that he has a genuine interest in the sport and who knows, maybe we'll see him back with the Hawkeye coaching staff some day?

  2. you know, it was so loud during that match that I didn't even hear Perry scream. But during the last few seconds of that video, it's a chilling sound - no lie
